Another great stay at Holme Cottage, a real home from home. Great weather, great food from the surrounding area. Super relaxing, hope to return soon.

Another great week at Holme cottage, a beautiful setting and a home to match.
Great local beaches and places to eat only a few minutes away.
We all enjoyed the miniature railway at Ruswarp and my youngsters the indoor play centre when we had a bit of rain.
This time we visited Scarborough to the Sealife centre and the Alpamare water park, just 30min away.
More memories made.

Lorna’s house is in a truly stunning location, overlooking a peaceful wooded valley, there’s no noise from traffic, just birds singing. And yet only 5 mins drive from the centre of Whitby or 12 mins drive from Robin Hood’s Bay (with the option of walking or cycling along the cycle track in either direction). Fantastic views of Whitby as you drive in. The house is very comfortable and the layout is open plan, making it ideal for families wanting to spend time together. We had the most wonderful mini holiday as a family, the children loved it and everything about the house makes it feel relaxing. We hope to return

Spotlessly clean, beautiful cottage near the river. Quiet, relaxing and enjoyable. We had a great time. The host is very helpful and supportive. Thank you for the great hospitality, would highly recommend. (oh, and you can see the steam train going by on the tracks).
What a fantastic cottage, very homely and comfortable with rooms for everybody, only 15 minutes walk from the centre of Whitby too! We loved the balcony but wish we’d used it more and the little garden area, where we had breakfast a couple of times. Lorna was extremely helpful from the time we booked the house all the way until we (sadly) had to leave on the Monday morning. Hope to visit Holme Cottage again in the future!
We have just spent a week at Holme Cottage and found everything perfect. We have stayed on this complex previously but found this cottage to be the best one yet. There was excellent communication with the owner, we found her to be very helpful.
Amazing place we had such a lovely time, the house is really well equipped and Lorna is an excellent host. We have a 4 year old, a baby and were travelling with Grandma as well and all generations well catered for. The cinder track makes for a lovely walk to and from Whitby We thoroughly recommend and will definately be back
We had a lovely weeks stay at Holme cottage. It’s nicely decorated and in a fantastic location. Having the steam train chugging past throughout the day was just lovely as were the views from the viaduct. We easily walked into Whitby with two children (8 and 11yrs) along the cinder path. We found loads to do in the area and would like to return to see more. We were a party of 4 adults and two children and the space was manageable for that many.
Loved staying here! The house is spacious, clean and well decorated. It has a balcony off the main bedroom with stunning views out to the viaduct. You can walk to Whitby and Sandsend if you want, taking in the peaceful and beautiful surroundings. If you choose to go by car they are only 10 minutes away at most. The owners are really friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning. It’s like a home away from home.

A great place to stay. So quiet and peaceful with the occasional steam train going past the viaduct which you can see from the balcony. Definitely coming again next year.
We were really pleased on how nicely the cottage was presented inside. It was really clean and obviously well looked after. Great communication with the owners who gave us lots of local information.
